Overview
Publishing is key to advancing an academic career – but what do you win if you write a lot of scientific journal articles and no one knows about it? In this talk, I want to talk about the im-portance of reaching out to others, both scholars and practitioners, to develop your own scholarly profile and advance your career. We will discuss not only the how, but also the why of digital scholarship. I will touch upon common pitfalls and you will leave this talk with concrete strategies that you can implement to enrich your (online) network, thereby staying true to yourself.
