It is a collaborative project with the HvA & UvA, EUR, Risbo, Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, ECBO, ROC van Twente and Saxion University of Applied Sciences. The project will map explicit and implicit obstacles that varying student groups may encounter on their path to and through higher education, and examine the choices and strategies that they make or use in response to these obstacles. One of the project research lines zooms in on the chances and constraints relating to particular key moments and particular student groups. Rashmi and Anouk will study this specifically in the context of Honors programs at the VU and the UvA, with attention paid to student motivation, the role of social identity processes and the role of the social network of students.
